Das Label Metal Blade Records scheinen wieder mal einen richtigen Riecher zu haben, wenn es um gute Bands geht. Kaum anders ist es zu erklären, dass wieder eine hoffnungsvolle Nachwuchsband aus gestandenen Metallern ihr Unterschrift unter einen Vertrag gesetzt haben. Mit Arma Gathas gibt es einen mutmaßlichen neuen Vorreiter im extremen Metal.

Wie Arma Gathas auf ihrer MySpace Seite veröffentlicht haben, hat die Extrem Metal Band einen weltweiten Deal bei dem Label Metal Blade Records unterschrieben. Das Debütalbum “Dead To This World” wird damit am 23. bis 26. April in Europa und am 27. April in Nord Amerika erscheinen. Aufgenommen wurde das Album im November 2009 in den Barracs Studios zusammen mit Sky Hoff, der auch schon für Caliban tätig war. Das Mastering wurde von Alan Douches in den West West Side Studios in New York zusammen mit dem Gitarristen Simon im frühen Dezember durchgeführt. “Dead To This World” enthält insgesamt 13 Songs, die pure Aggression verströmen sollen.

Die Mitglieder der Band sind allerdings wirklich keine unbekannten Newcomer. Arma Gathas besteht aus dem ehemaligen Cataract Gitarristen Simon Fülleman, dem Ex-Born From Pain Sänger Ché Snelting, Gitarrist Marc Niedersberg (Machinemade God, Ex-Cornelius), Max van Winkelhof an den Drums (Ex-Disloyal) und Alex Härtel am Bass. Somit dürfte einem wirklich guten Album nicht viel im Wege stehen.
